Shiloh Shepherd Breeders
Our reasons for breeding Shilohs are to produce intelligent, wonderful family companions with sound temperaments; Shilohs that can provide a degree of protection, without the liability that comes from protection dogs.
We also breed for a teachable dog, one that intuitively learns from its human, one that observes and has an intrinsic desire to please. With our breeding matches, we produce a variety of temperaments suitable to become therapy dogs, search and rescue, obedience and show ring candidates. Our goal for breeding Shilohs is to produce wonderful, loving and loyal family companions.
By looking at the health of both sire and dam and several generations on each side, we are able to match our breeding pairs. While there is never a perfect dog, we do our best to match the best in temperament, health and hips.

About Us
Jessica Strauss of Strauss Haus Shepherds and Laura Kathryn of Solace Shilohs have teamed up to bring over 40 years of breeding experience, genetics and wisdom to clients who are fortunate enough to get one of their puppies. Jessica Strauss and Laura Kathryn began their breeding careers in 2001 and 2002 respectively. Their first meeting was in May of 2002 at a litter evaluation in Washington State, conducted by Tina Barber, the Breed Founder. Both Jessica and Laura were trained by Tina on how to conduct a litter evaluation. Please note that puppies will be raised in the Northeast and can be picked up or flown. Flights will be from Buffalo Airport.
